My dad has always suffered from sinus problems all his life, just allergies and infections etc. But around last October a lump appeared on his cheek, which the doc said was prob a blocked sinus. Gave dad beconase. But the lump grew, and started affecting his nose shape and eye socket and he couldnt breathe up his nose. I was pestering him relentlessly as I always have, to go to the Doc and get it checked. He eventually got referred, had a CT scan and they said there and then it could be cancerous. He never told us, until he got the MRI. Then he broke the news over the phone. I collapsed, crying - I just can't believe my dad could have a cancer, and its so rare. I'm only really managing to get by because of my baby son, whose 18 months old. He's keeping me busy and taking my mind off things, nappies still need to be changed and meals prepared. Dad has had a biopsy last Thurs which confirmed things, and now we wait for the first appt with the cancer specialist this coming Thurs.

Dad has cancer of the sinuses, which is apparently really rare, so I guess I came here to find out more about it, and whether there are any other peoples out there that have any experience of this.

Noone in our family has ever had a cancer, so I dont really know what to expect. The word chemo scares me so much. :-(
