She had breast cancer 20 years ago that came back 2 years ago & now looks like it's on the march through her body - potentially her brain. She's had a series of strokes - most recent one 10 days ago have affected her sight, memory and speech. </p>
<p>The consultants think that some of the symptoms that she's experiencing may be alleviated by a plasma exchange. Reading on this website, it sounds likely she will also need chemotherapy to prevent excess protein being produced going forward. </p>
<p>The consultants want to see me tomorrow to discuss - has anyone any experience of someone so poorly and weak having gone through this procedure?
