She had breast cancer 20 years ago that came back 2 years ago &amp;amp; now looks like it&amp;#39;s on the march through her body - potentially her brain. She&amp;#39;s had a series of strokes - most recent one 10 days ago have affected&amp;nbsp; her sight, memory and speech. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The consultants think that some of the symptoms that she&amp;#39;s experiencing may be alleviated by a plasma exchange. Reading on this website, it sounds likely she will also need chemotherapy to prevent excess protein being produced going forward. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The consultants want to see me tomorrow to discuss - has anyone any experience of someone so poorly and weak having gone through this procedure?
