my dad retired last year &amp;amp; being not one to stop started a part time job well it wasn&amp;#39;t to long before he got restless  moved through 3 other part time jobs finally accepted retirement when he was in a lot of pain &amp;amp; physically unable to work.
went to the docs sent for chest scan &amp;amp; diagnossed as having oesphegal cancer that is also in his  stomach ,lymph glands etc he has just had his 3 chemo session &amp;amp; is having another scan to check on progress this thursday.
he was initally given 6 months is this normal to put a time limit on this sort of thing do they work this out on how much treatment that they think he can take.
he is diseapering before our eyes not a quiter by any means but i can see he is in a lot of pain &amp;amp; when does someone call a halt to the treatment then how much longer will he last ? so many questions that i want to ask but never one to sit &amp;amp; ask someone face  to face.
