help: information please,womb cancer

Hi all

This time next week we shall know if mums cancer has spread. She has had womb cancer, had all the treatment,surgery, chemo and Radio. Went for Oncologist appointment a couple of weeks ago and after examining her the doctor said he coud feel a lump between her neck and shoulder. So we have had a CT scan and the results are next Monday.

Mum is coping but i'm not, how selfish is that!!! I just cant bear it if it has come back so soon, she only finished chemo in January. Of course i will be there for her i just want to do more and i dont know what to do!!

I'm trying to be positive but its hard in my head i already know the results and i know what people will say until you get them you dont know anything.

Sorry for ranting i just needing to write things down, dont have many people to talk to.

Hi all

My husband treated me and mum for a night out last night to see a comedian at the theatre. Mum didnt want to go as she is such a homebody and it was raining!!!. Husband told her to get her glad rags on and curlers out and go and enjoy herself (think he wanted the house to himself !) and she did and what a wonderful time we had. I had tears running down my face my stomach hurt so much with laughing and just to see mum laughing as well it was such a wonderful time.

But tomorrow we get the CT results, to see if this dreaded cancer has spread. She is already on chemo and radio and i am trying to be strong but i want more nights like last night.

She is such an amazing lady, her strength is amazing, she has never once complained. The only thing she has said she dosent want to know anything, she will do whatever the doctors tell her but she dosent want to know. I have to respect that but i need to know, as i want to support her.

I take strength from all of you, you guys are amazing and i just hope i can take a litlle bit of that strength in with me tomorrow when we see the doctor.

hi,

Mum diagnosed with womb cancer from smear test (which is quite rare), went for a colposcopy today (which i thought was for cervical cancer) and had biopsy done She asked if she had cancer and he said yes. Results will be next friday and treatment decided. dont know what will happen next, waiting the hardest. Any advice? thanks

hi, dont know if anyone can help or give advice. In a nutshell mum diagnosed with womb cancer (from a routine smear test) last week, hospital appointment this thursday,(from a phone call) had no letter from hosiptal as what to expect where to go etc, co i called them today, was told mum was to go for a Colposcopy. Spoke to a lovely nurse advisor from cancer research who said thats more to do with cerival cancer and its very rare to say that a woman has womb cancer just from a smear test. this is all so confusing and worrying,we dont know what to expect and nobodyfrom our GP Surgery or the hosptial can give me any answers. I know we should find out on thursday but i just wanted to give mum more information as to what she can expect.

hi, dont know if anyone can help please. My mum went for a routine check up at the doctors and while she was there was told she needed to have a smear, (she didnt think she needed one as she was 69) anyway she had one and the results was told by a nurse that she has womb cancer, go away and wait for a hospital apointment. We have had a telephone call to say that she has an appointment at hospital on thursday, but we have had no letter as to tell us what we are going for. As she has been diagnosed what happens next (cant belive this has come from a smear test). I have checked on various sites and they all tell you diagnosed stages,its all so confusing i hope someone can give me advice. thanks for reading
