my mum has been on tarceva for a month now and has had the dreadfull spots or "rash" as it's known.

The steroid treatment did clear it up but she found the greatest relief from Aveeno products. These have helped to moisturize her skin and skeeping bad breakouts at bay.

With this in mind I decided to join the Aveeno Discoverer programe and I'm helping to spread the word about Aveeno products. I have recieved free samples and have the posssibility of further rewards, if you want to find out more about these products please try the web site www.discoveraveeno.co.uk.

Mum seems to be responding to her treatment and has a scan Friday which we hope will prove positive for her.

With love to all

The tumour actually shrunk a little!

Now though she has severe pain at the tumour site which regular meds don't help. She has tried Trammadol which justs upsets her stomach and does not seem to help, so I am looking into the next step.

She is a wonderfull woman who never complains and has just been tolerating this for a few weeks. We did't even know had bad things were until she had a C T scan on Friday.

Sometimes you just feel as though there is no one to call on with questions, her Mac nurse is good but somehow the communication lines breakdown.

Does anyone else take something a bit stronger, other than Opioids?

To recap mum was diagnosed with Lung cancer March 09, and has had Chemo. She has not deteriorated since which is good news and has no new symptoms, so I guess the treatment helped. she does get very tired though which is to be expected.
