My dad is very frail and but still eating a little he has been been constantly burping for over a week. His GP, Community Nurse & Macmillan Nurse have no idea why (unaware of it as a side effect from any of his medications) Has anyone else had experience of this before ? Have read lots of blogs and saw a medication called carbamazepine which apparently stops the body going into spasm, will suggest this as the poor man is exhausted and also if he burps and coughs at the same time, he cannot breathe which is also another serious problem ? Any advice would be VERY much appreciated.
