My best friend was diagnosied with APL (which is a type of AML) in November 2007, went through chemo and lost her hair. She was in isolation for nearly 6 months and was allowed to go home in April of last year. She was doing fab until April this year when she re-lapsed and began treatment - arsenic trioxide. She was due to get maried last year but had to cancel because of the treatment and then today had the bad news that their wedding has been cancelled again - she was due to get married this Friday. I would love to hear from anyone with advise support...anything .
