It has become away of me processing the shock of diagnosis and treatment. I use a variety of mediums but particularly enjoy drawing, I also use a method call cyanotype which gives a beautiful blue image.

I would like to speak to other people who have felt that an everyday object or routine has helped them cope with a view to either drawing, painting or recording the object or event. I have realised that when your problems or fears are too huge focusing on the small and mundane can give reassurance far beyond their importance. I live in the derbyshire/sheffield area and if anyone belongs to group that would be willing to talk to me I would be really happy to show them my work.

I have written a little about the objects that became important to me on my profile to show you that they don't have to be grand, the simpler the better. I am not 'arty'! - i was an accountant for 20 years prior to university.
