Day 1 Round 3

Less than one minute read time.

Seems I dreaded this round as much as the others, but other than taking a nausea pill, on top of having a patch, things are going well.

Keeping up with Prednisone every two hours and other occupying activities, washing, cooking, are enough. Finished reading FAITH THAT HURTS FAITH THAT HEALS. Good reading.

    Da 1 Round 4

It feels good to know I am half way through and have worked through several things that were hospitalization potentials.

I follow advice of the doc, nurses, and long time friend who has volunteered extensively at a cancer center as support to others. Daughter is a doctor. Mainly, I was advised to STAY AWAY from crowds. I think wearing a broad brimmed hat is a good idea, since the weather has been cold and flu season still out there.

This last treatment was dreaded as usual, but pushing Rituxan in in 5 min rather than infusion over 3 hours meant I did not have to go back a second day. What a relief each little step made.

A son coming over and helping install safety bars in the bathroom and then again bringing a grandchild, praying, was STRONG encouragement. First grandchild I had seen in more than two months. The prayers and cards of friends nearer by, gifts of caps, have meant a lot. I still am enjoying the scented things AND trying to focus my chemo affected mind on some more serious writing than blogging and emailing. The mental challenges extend to cleaning, cooking, daily activities, which I can manage with help from our son, friends, and mostly my husband. Many husband's CAN do a lot, but grow accustomed to depending on wives to do certain things, as we do them.
