I'm so sorry to read about how worried you are. There are lots of other reasons why you may have these symptoms, so please do not presume immediately that this is cancer, without having a professional opinion. However, I'm glad to see that you've come to the Community for support.

I can see that you've posted a question to Wilma, our specialist nurse (community.macmillan.org.uk/.../a>) - this is a good first start. I would also recommend taking a look in our Skin cancer forum (Group) group to see if it's for you. The members of the group are very warm and welcoming, and may be able to give you an idea of what to expect from your appointment.

Can I also recommend giving the Macmillan support line a call? The nurses and advisers running the line may be able to calm your worries and give you some further information about referrals. They're available to talk on freephone 0808 808 0000, Monday to Friday, 9am-8pm.
