Travel insurance recommendations for people affected by cancer

When you are living with cancer, getting travel insurance can be difficult - even if your cancer treatment was years ago. We want to hear positive stories about travel insurance companies from the people who know best – you.

This blog has now evolved into a new travel insurance discussion group. Please head over to the new group to share your experiences and ask for recommendations.

  • <p>As another, above, recommends, <a href="www.insurancewith.com/.../a> seem to be almost the only broker who use a &quot;sensible&quot; pre-existing condition questionaire and assessment.</p> <p>All the other brokers we tried seem to use the same one (MAPFRE?)</p> <p>We&#39;re about to set off on a motorcycle tour of Spain and needed medical repatriation insurance in case of accidents. But all the travel insurance brokers added a massive premium due to my colorectal and lung cancer treatments four years ago (2014 / 2015). Coop for example quoted us &pound;91 for travel insurance.....which soared to &pound;291 when my medical screening was added. And I&#39;m not receiving any treatments or taking drugs!</p> <p><a href="www.insurancewith.com/.../a> came through with &pound;78 :-) </p> <p>I called them to check I&#39;d got things right and whilst they took a while to answer the phone, the agent was a cut above the average too and really knew her stuff.</p> <p>Give them a try!</p> <p></p> <p></p>
