I’ve never had a problem sleeping before but now I’m tired and I can’t sleep and when I do sleep I’ll wake to partake of the flushes and then take ages to get off again and when I wake up in the morning, the first thing I think is ‘I’m so tired’. It makes me grumpy and I’m less productive than I could be. If you have any sleep tips that work let me know. I hope you are all sound asleep and getting lots of .
That sounds like my sort of thing, when I am stressed I picture a scene from nature whether it be the sea or the countryside and lie down with the creatures or on the beach, it soon kicks my stress into touch. Thanks for the tip xx
I use a free app called Windy, which allows me to mix wind, rain and bird sounds with repetitive music. As it plays I picture a scene, in which I am smiling and calm. It took me a while to get it right but now I find it very effective. I am fortunate that Mr S.T.B.Q. has no problem sleeping and encourages me to use the app, his only comment being “That music is very boring.” There are many such sleep apps out there so I would give something similar a go, with the provisos that I tried a couple before I found the one that suits me and I would hope tofind one that is free.
Thanks for the tips ️
My sleep pattern is totally messed up since I had breast cancer treatment. The treatment finished about 15 months ago and I still dont sleep properly. I finally sleep about 2.30 in the morning then get up about 11am still feeling like I I havnt had a refreshing sleep. I often have to force myself to get up. I get so frustrated because it feels like I'm wasting so much of the day.
I guess it's just one of the issues I have to deal with as best as I can.
Hi, Sorry to hear your having trouble sleeping. I practiced meditation throughout my cancer and still do. There are some great relaxing Apps on the phone. For me meditation has totally been the best mind and body benefit I’ve ever done. I feel so calm within myself. I’ve learnt to accept the things I can’t change in life and embrace everything good. I always fall to sleep during the app. It’s worth giving it a try. Best of luck. Try putting a few drops of lavender on your pillow. I do hope it works for you.
