Join our Road Show – meet your local candidates

1 minute read time.

The first Campaign Road Show was such a success we’re hitting the road again, and this time we’re also giving you the chance to meet your local candidates. Next week we’re heading to Watford, Cambridge, Loughborough, Bristol and Brighton between 13th and 17th April. If you or your friends live in any of these areas, we want to find out the issues that matter to you.

We’d love you to pop by our campaigns bus or join our Cake with Candidates event. With the General Election just weeks away, now is the time to join us and help make cancer care an election priority.

Visit our campaigns bus

Come and see us at our campaigns bus. You’ll be able to find out more about our Cancer: Time to Choose campaign and how you can get involved, and we’ll be on hand to give you advice and tips on campaigning in the run up to the election. We’d love to meet you.

Join our Cakes with Candidates event

If you’re interested in chatting over coffee our ‘Cake with Candidates’ event is for you. Local parliamentary candidates will be joining Macmillan staff and supporters to talk about cancer care where you are. This is your opportunity to meet your candidates and ask what they intend to do to improve cancer care if they’re elected.

The events will take place between 10am and 11.30am in Watford, Cambridge, Loughborough, Bristol and Brighton. If you live one of these areas and would like to attend please drop us an email on campaigns@macmillan.org.uk to find out more.

Many people in your area may already have been touched by cancer and this election is our best chance to make sure everyone receives the best possible care and support. No one should face cancer alone so please join us to demand:

  • Earlier diagnosis and better support after treatment to improve outcomes so they match the best in Europe.
  • Health services that protect the dignity of patients, while giving staff the support they need to do this.
  • The free social care people need to fulfill their wish to die at home if they choose.

Together we can make cancer care an election priority. We look forward to meeting you. Please share with friend and visit our website to find out more.
