Hi Caroline I think any insurance such as mortgage or life cover which you have taken out before you were diagnosed has to be honoured but you probably should update them just in case. Holiday insurance is different and is a minefield. If you have existing cover usually you have to update the company...

Hi Paul,this may be a bit late for you as we are now into November! but I have started using www.insurancewith.com you can do everything on-line with them, but you can also call them for a quote. I have found them the most competetively priced and when you do talk to them they are really nice and understanding...

i have peritoneal cancer had my 6 sessions of chemo lost all my hair although its starting to grow back but now have sore feet n hands very painfull and knumb also feel like a ticking bomb waiting to explode as it can keep comeing back needed stomache drained and lung but can't move on or plan ahead...

This is such a useful conversation ... I had the same problem, treatment for thyroid cancer finished in July. I looked at my travel insurance policy and it seemed it would cover me for everything except conditions related to this provided I declared it to them. Yesss! a short efficient phone call...

Just got back from a week in Cornwall, which was fantastic. You wouldn't believe it but Clive was body boarding in the sea with me and the boys, it was fab to see him really enjoying himself and with much more energy. He is still eating well again and says he feels fitter than he has been for ages...
