My Mum was diagnosed with OC in early April this year but had been unwell for some time before this with acid reflux etc. By the time she was diagnosed the tumour was more than 5 inches long and she has declined all treatment offered. Ironically, the chemo unit just said the domperidone was 'to combat nausea from the chemo.' It was actually on the advice of the lovely lady I spoke to at the Oesophageal Patients Association who understood about the 'foam' and said to take two 30 mins before eating/ And, while there...

Hi Tony: thanks for that - I shall certainly ask for the Antepsin as well as Domperidone when we go to chemo 2morrw. It's nearly 2a.m. and I'm up cos hubby, having had a 'no food problems' day (haven't had pleasure of one of those for several weeks), woke up coughing and upchucked...

Well chemo went ahead as planned last Thursday but God was I rough on the Friday and Saturday. Its the first time its effected me so bad and I was so grumpy with everyone. Not good but I dont have many bad days really. This is cycle number six of chemo and I always have a funny taste in my mouth now...

Its Sunday 19th April and I am sat on the sofa with my feet up as they have been since Friday. This session seems to have knocked the socks off me so I am doing what my body tells me to and thats to rest. It makes me feel guilty though as my boys get all the jobs to do. They are doing them really well...

Well I have been for my blood test today after a weekend of eating out, dancing, white wine and bianco and lemonade and guess what???? Yes bloods are 2.7 - huge, they were only 1.3 last week hence the chemo being cancelled so I am back on track. I shall be there first thing tomorrow morning to be drugged...
