Day 15 after first lot of FEC and I've noticed I'm losing my hair. I didn't expect it to start so soon. I thought I'd have another week until I started my second treatment. I'm prepared for it, but not emotionally. On the whole I've been ok, but it doesn't stop it upsetting...

Hi I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2009 and spent more or less 2010 having chemo and radio treatment. Whilst I was having my treatment I continued my studies to train as a psychologist. Even though it was a very difficult time for me and I am still suffering the affects of fatigue and...

Hi I would like to tell you about a wonderful, morale-boosting visit I had on Monday this week. My hair loss came a bit sooner than I expected after starting FEC 75 (on January 12th 2011) and although I'd made a few enquiries about scarves etc, I hadn't done much about it. Then, when the...

Im 33 and just recently got diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Initial shock can be overwelming. Especially with a wife of 13 years and two girls, 12 and 10. I just started my chemo treatment regiment, R-CHOP version called MEGA-CHOP or CHOP-ICE. It was a treatment designed by the Nordic Group. A little...

Hello Mac World Things are going well with Pats so far. First lot of Chemo was ok, was scary as no one knew what to expect. It was quite a surreal experience just to accompany someone! Surreal but not in a bad way, was actually a remarkably calm experience for Pats. The nurses in the Medical Day...

Friday 6th November Can't wait any longer. Chemo appointment is 1.30pm but after my blog, it seems like I'm just pacing up and down the house, waiting for the minutes to drag on by until it's time to leave. Sod it. Hop into the car. Pick up my friend. Drive to the clinic. Arrive at 12...

First chemo today. Really nervous. Seem to have been able to drag out the process for as long as possible. However, no escape now. It's today. First the surgery. A few weeks of pain and recovery put it off. Then IVF. Another couple of weeks of daily injections and absolute trauma on 'egg harvesting...

I wondered whether anyone has tried a product called N****n, marketed as a volumiser and regrowth agent/follicle booster suitable for chemo baldies? [I won't print its full name as I'm aware the site rightly takes a dim view of gratuitous advertising, but it's so hideously expensive that...
