My 82 yr old Dad had one blast of radiotherapy for sclc. He is stage 2 T3 N0Mo. He doesn't have any trouble breathing and isn't in pain. Steroids have increased his appetite and when he makes the effort he can go to the bathroom or to the kitchen for his lunch etc without help. Blood tests were...

Thanks for reading. My friend has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. I'm not 100% sure, but as he has told me that the cancer is inoperable due to its location near his heart, I think it may be stage 3. He also told me that when he was first diagnosed he would be able to have surgery...

Like the TV advert my family are reeling from the news of dads cancer - non-small cell lung. Diagnosed in February this year because of investigations for a pain in his shoulder. The medics were all very optimistic - cancer hasn't spread - the tumor would be treated with radiotherapy - dad is 82...

My Uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer 18 months ago but it has been kept at bay and he has been able to lead a pain free, relatively normal life. There was no side effects of treatment, so people were told about it on a need to know basis only. In October he began to suffer unbearable headaches and...

Although dry today it was a very grey and dark dawn today and it didn’t look promising at all. I didn’t have any plans for today, sat on the computer and sorted emails and messages out, a lot of work to catch up on. We decided to go to Wincheap to buy dog food and a toy for him so when...
