We are now into the second cycle of Dad’s chemo, he is still remaining mentally strong but physically is more tired each day. We have had some lovely times together, trips to the shops and lovely meals. Today is my middle niece’s first day at school, so her and her sister are coming to Dad’s for tea...

Dad has had his first cycle of Chemo, second is 4th & 11th Sept followed by a CT scan on 17th Sept - how soon after will be get the results?? i feel sick already!

On the 22nd July my world collapsed around me when my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer which has already spread to his brain, he is 67 and he is my whole world. My Dad has been diagnosed with lung and brain cancer (last Wednesday), they have said it is not curable but he will be given chemo for his lung (should start end of next week) and they have given him steroids for his brain. I am main carer for my husband who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and brain metz at the beginning of January. He was told that his condition was not curable and prognosis was very poor. We have both been fortunate in being blessed with good health and therefore this is a steep learning curve...
