Hi I discovered last week that my Hodgkin's Lymphoma has relapsed - I was originally diagnosed in June 2010 with stage 4B and have 8 months of ABVD then went into remission. This time it's stage 2B (thankfully) and the first step in my journey is ESHAP chemotherapy which is due to start on...

Just out of interest, did any of you who have had HL suffer much with mumps or tonsillitis or even glandular fever during childhood/teenage years? I know there's a link between Epstein-Barr virus and lymphoma and that that causes glandular fever but I've also discovered that EBV can also cause...

Hi Liz Sorry for late reply, I was travelling. Yes, I underwent autologous blood stem cell rescue after 3 different chemo regimens between Jan 2010 and Feb 2011. Due to my age (55+) and poor stem cell output, the doc did warn me that I was at best a 'marginal' candidate. I was symptom free...

First of all, let me apologise as this will seem ungrateful and insensitive to anyone not yet in remission. I am and I'm truly grateful to be BUT I am constantly on the lookout for the cancer to return. I suppose this is normal but it's quite hard to talk about as it seems uncharacteristically...

Hi Stacey The bone marrow aspiration was done right in the beginning (Jan 2010) along with the biopsy of a malignant node tissue that was extracted from the abdomen. Tests showed bone marrow was free from disease (they use the term 'uninvolved') but the sample lymph node tissue showed HL....

Hi, Emma, Finally got to see the docs last week - bloods all OK & the specialist doesn't seem to think it's anything sinister. it's still there but I'm trying not to think about it. Hope you're well? Cheers, Martin...............

Hi Martin I am shocked, but I hope it is only one of nature's pranks! I am hot on your tail. I was given a 6-week break after the last scan (23 Nov - all clear), then on the 4th and 5th of Dec, two sessions of stem cell harvesting yielded a total of 70% of the required amount. I am now resting...
