I'm in a similar position - I have TaG3, just confirmed after biopsy. They have made me go away until 12 July to decide which option. I can give you my perceptions - it seems to me that surgery will give better assurance of no recurrence. With BCG might be no recurrence, tumour might recur (needing...

This is my first post so bear with me. I am a 59 year male diagnosed with bladder cancer (tumour & CIS) in Aug 2009. Tumour removed and then started BCG in Nov 2009. Last Bi-op in Nov 2010 shown no cancer - so far so good. Last BCG in Feb 2011 (just 1 treatment this time as side effects too much...

Hi Alison. I am in a similar situation having recently been told that the BCG didn't work. I have 2 types of high grade cancer and have decided to go for bladder removal to try and catch it before it spreads. I've asked my Macmillan nurse to put me in touch with people who have a urostomy bag...

Hi everyone, Thanks for replies. Will read pages and web sites suggested . Mike, Your suggestions are helpful and encouraging. I am quite into swimming & cycling so it sounds like I could continue with that, whatever happens. Also no need to sell the old M/Cycle yet. Will ask about these...
