  • I think it's good you are going back to the doctor. Hopefully your results will come back soon.
  • Hello, I have had cervical Cancer and wanted to put your mind at rest.  The HPV virus is a virus, and can be caught by having sex with someone who doesnt know they have the it.  It can go undected for years and I can say I was married for 23 years and a partner for 6 years so wasn't a player, but i got cancer.

The pains you are feeling are lower back pain and pulling and dragging sensation, although I did bleed quite a lot after colposcopy, I knew I had a tumour straight away as I looked at the screen whilst they were doing it.  My specialist said I am not sure whether it is a fibroid or something sinister, but I knew fibroids were finger shaped and my tumour looked like an eyeball with out the iris.

Try not to worry till they tell you the words as it could be just changes in the cells which maybe a small procedure to burn away the cells and you will be fine.

My diagnosis was 1b1 and was caught early, I had a radical hysterectomy and lymph node dissection and lymph nodeswere clear.

I am two years down the road now and am healthy, but take life a lot less stressful than I did.

When faced with this it does change your outlook in life.  Good luck I hope all is well !  take care Dawnief
