im abit worried i may have cervical cancer i have got 3 symptoms that the dr says u might get further down the line of the cancer can sum1 please give me advice if and wat symptoms they had and what to do for the best im 23 n very confused :(

Hi, firstly don't worry yourself until you know for sure, i know thats easier said than done. I have recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer, my only symptom was slight bleeding after sex. All I can say is make sure your doc gets you sorted quickly as the sooner they sort you out the easier the treatment. Keep smiling x

try not to worry(easy said i know) i had symptoms..bleeding after sex (still having slightly).pain passing urine,bad leg pain,and convinced myself i was ill.my colposcopy came back negative

You mentioned that you had 3 symptoms, what are they? What has the Dr organised for you next?

There are a number of signs for cervical cancer but no everyone has them that are diagnosed, some have had no symptoms at all and some ladies suffer from some symptoms but then are told that despite the symptoms it is not cancer. That is why cervical screening is so important.

Normally you would be sent to the colposcopy clinic for biopsy and for a better look at your cervix and then from what they see at the clinic or what the biopsy says will depend on your future treatment.

Can I recommend that you have a look at Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust. There is a Forum on there where ladies will offer support ad offer advice, a helpline and a fantastic 'Ask the Expert' where you can ask a consultant etc for general information and advice.

I hope that the symptoms are not CC but in the meantime whilst you are waiting and worried have a look at Jo's Trust.

oh hun! I am so sorry that you are so scared. I know the feeling all too well..a lot of us on here do! I had stage IIB adenocarcinoma of the cervix almost 19 years ago...
