Have been for results and they were good , the cancerous lump was still a grade 2 but the mri scan id had 2 weeks ago had showed something else  it was the start of another cancerous lump in the same breast so the cancer nurse said thad id definately made the right decision in having the mastectomy as its now got rid of it my nodes were clear so the cancer hasnt spread both my husband and myself burst into tears in the office i think it was all the strain building up, i have to now take tablets for 5 years dont need radio or chemo and will need  mammograms every year she said im not cured but will be managed and treated hubbies treating me to tea tonight hope everyones ok well all keep fighting this take care all speak soon

Fantastic news Babs!  I don't know why they've said you're not cured though?  I would consider that you are, or as good as it gets!  Anyway enjoy your meal!

Aww Babs, I'm delighted for you.... Thats the best news😄😄😄😄😄😄😄 As far as I'm aware they avoid the word 'cured' (don't know why) but you've probably got the same chance of getting bc again as the rest of the population who've nevr been through what you have, less maybe because you are on hormone therapy! I think it's defiantly cause for celebration 🍸,and the most fantastic wedding in a couple of weeks time Don't be a stranger to the site, I for one will miss your support Sarah xxxxxxx

I don´t think they ever talk of a cure where little c is concerned........probably becuase they don´t actually know, and err on the side of caution, hence words like remission are used etc.....

Was thinking of you today. What a great relief. So happy for you. It is hard to take it a stage at a time and you have faced it all.

I have my appt in 10 days -  they did a WLE in the end yesterday and now I just need to wait it out. Grrrr
