    Hi, my nan has been recently diagnosed with bowel cancer, she has chemotherapy and had to have a blood transfusion yesterday.  Can someone tell me how easy or hard is it to treat bowel cancer and is it a type of cancer which has a high survival rate, thanks/

    Do you know what stage your nan's cancer is? If it hasn't spread to other organs then it is usually treatable. Have the doctors suggested an operation to remove her tumour?

    Difficult to say without knowing your Nans stage. Overall survival is about 50%, with early stages over 90% and late around 10% - But those are the stats. in real life everyones story is different.
