  • Hi

My name is Annabel. I'm 40 years old

I was diagnosed in May. I also have a few small lung mets AND then had the blow I'm triple neg. I started chemo (FEC) asap and have just had my 4th round. I had a very large breast lump which has responded really well and so far the lump has shrunk 5cm by 4cm. My ONC said hopefully it will be doing the same inside. As you'll probably all know my cancer will only be controlled not cured and EVERYTHING I read is just such awful news. I have 3 children...23, 3 and 7. Trying to come to terms with not being around for them but can't seem to accept it. Been reading horrible statistics and I am now awake every night until about 3.30am. I am trying not to dwell and I have been eating healthy, exercising...doing all I can to be as fit and and healthy so I can have a good few years at least.

All I do is try to find something a little bit positive on the web/forums etc but end up feeling worse. I saw this forum and have been lurking, was scared to post :(

Sorry to come on and post such a downer, I am up for a fight and will not let this rule my life BUT I can't help but feel really low and I know this won't help. Thanks for reading xxx

  • Hi Annabel

Iv spoken to you before. Try not to dwell too much on the TNBC thing as you can live for years with mets.... There is a very good tnbc secondaries thread on BC care. There are some lovely ladies and it can be good to share experiences.

It is scary, but what is excellent is how fab your tumour has responded to chemo.

Sounds like you are doing all the right thngs too.

Sending big hugs to you. Love Lulu xxx

  • Hi Lulu

Thank you for your reply. I read the thread on breast cancer care but have so many problems with the site. I have posted on there but can never reply and have told them this but it's still the same. I feel bad as people have responded to my posts and I can't even thank them! I have been able to send a few messages to Laura, I do check how you're all doing and I'm hoping at some point to join in!! xx

  • I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with bcc it is pants since it changed. Wish they would just realise its not as good and go back to the old site. Maybe you could try using a different browser I use google chrome and it allows me. I know when I used my iPad or iPhone I couldn't login to start with but then sussed it out. There is an American site too called the TNBC foundation and I had problems posting there from my iPad too. Are you on facebook? If you pm me I can add you as a friend as there is a very busy private secondaries forum which I can add you to. It's not all TNBC ladies but it's mostly bcc refugees! Xxxx
