Dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer three years ago. He has had treatment including BCG, Chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He was always brave and strong but since the radiotherapy I have noticed a sharp decline and suddenly everything is becoming very real now. He is so tired but is unable to sleep for long before his brain sends signals to his bladder telling him that he needs to get up and urinate.......last night 30 times during the night. How can he possibly recover from such an ordeal? I just feel so absolutely helpless and wish that there was something I could do to help him.
He is now in his mid 70's. Is it expected for him to be at the toilet so many times during the night - or could this be an indication of a further complication.
Mum is worn out herself, this has been going on for many many weeks now.
And I am over 200 miles away - and suddenly everything is becoming so very very real. How can I help in such a situation, what can I do?
