Your world has been turned upside down. 
How can one word cause so much harm? 

That scary word that starts with C 
that no one wants to hear 
has snuck it's way into your life 
...now how can that be fair?? 

Why me? you ask 
Why us? she says 
How can this all be true? 
You were so well and suddenly it's knocked you back for two. 

This cancer thing it won't beat you 
You're stronger than it is

Let's tell it as it is! 

That big, bad C can't cripple love 
nor can it shatter hope 
Your faith in life it can't corrode 
your friendships it can't touch 

Your peace it cannot eat away 
nor shut your memories out 
It can't destroy your confidence 
Your courage it can't reach 

Your life shall not be lessened by the whisper of one word 
Your soul is far too lively to be invaded by this hurt 

So when you're feeling that you're losing 
just remind yourself again
