I am not sure I qualify to comment as I only had one brain tumour - albeit high grade.

I named mine Buttercup, because I wanted to talk to her and tell her the reasons she had to go etc but I didn't want a horrible name & pee her off anymore than she was.  After all, a buttercup is a weed and a weed is just a flower that grows where its unwanted, and my Buttercup was definately NOT WANTED.

I imagine with the seven dwarfs you will be having whole brain RT and your beautiful hair seen on the blog will be gone.  That was part I found the hardest strangely enough, losing my hair oh that and the fact I had to have my mouth closed shut for the entire treatment........thumbs up & down gets a tad boring, especially if they forget and ask you something that you can't up or down to!

I like your attitude and I believe that it definately helps us in this fight.

Good luck with treatment - please please follow the rules (I am so glad that for once in my life I did as I was told & had no side-effects, even drinking lotsa yukky water lol).

    Keep us posted.

Just been reading through your blog, I'm so sorry. Your son is beautiful by the way.

My dad is at the end stage of Stage IV glioblastoma (primary, aggressive brain cancer). I would just like to tell you - although he lost a patch of hair from the radiotherapy, he didn't lose ANY from the chemo! He took one chemo tablet every day before his RT and is now on five days on/23 off chemo.

He also hasn't put on any weight from the steroids (lost heaps though, sadly) and is on quite a high dose now.

    Good luck and keep fighting.

    Deli,

Sorry about your dad, just learning about blogs so had not looked at your profile. I was encouraged that your did lived longer than most sites say.
