It's been a fairly quiet few days I got out of the hospital friday morning and I'm not due back until 9am this morning. It is now 4:26am and I've been awake since about 2:30am... definitely starting to notice these steroids keeping me awake. I went to bed at about half eight so I'm getting about 5-6 hours sleep, which isn't too bad, least I can sleep during the day hopefully. Today I'm due some chemo (not sure what exactly but it's not IT) and ambisone so I'll probably...

Travelling to the hospital will be tough (as I can't really drive at the moment - I'll find a way) but there is good public transport. And I have some friends who have agreed to give me lifts...

So back again.... Auckland District Health Board miraculously found me on their computer system so the first radiation appointment happened this lunchtime. My daughter Muirie took me there... I think maybe because she knew damn well that I wouldn't show up unless she took me. Anyway, now I have done it once, I have promised commitment to seeing through the other 29 appointments. It wasn't actually too bad at all... the first one took a bit longer because they had to make sure that all the...
  • Would you believe.

Hi everyone. Im back from holiday, but would you believe. On new years eve when the clock reached midnight i said to every one. Well thank god 2008 is over, I hope that 2009 is better after 5 operations in that year. Next morning (new years day) hubby and i went surf casting on the beach where we were staying. A wasp landed on the bait board so hubby gave it i flick with his knife which happened to land on my arm and sting me. (felt like someone had stubbed a smoke out on it.) My arm puffed up so...
