    Well scan results followed by a biopsy confirmed recurrence stage ii Hodgkin's.

    So 1 year ago I received the results confirming that I no longer had any signs of cancer, can't believe that a whole year has passed. 

    I'm back at work full time, but life is certainly not normal...


    To begin with I struggled to plan ahead of my quarterly review sessions, and then in August I felt like I had maybe turned that corner, booked honeymoon for Jan and started to try and get fit(ish) again…

    So since I completed treatment in December things have been all go. Christmas and birthdays followed by the new year, and got married just over a week ago, followed by a lovely mini moon.

  • Day 1 - No Cycle

     Today is the first day of no pills, injections, blood tests, chemo ....

    Well apart from a 2 month prescription for antibiotics, but for the last 3 months I have started a new cycle on a Wednesday and had a chemo session also.

    Since receiving the scan results, met with the specialist and the official you're in remission, it's all feeling real. I have completed cycle 5 and am on day5 of the final cycle. The final chemo session is on Wednesday, although another blood transfusion is needed and they are aiming to do it all on same day. Which will be hard as the chemo drugs normally throw me. Please may the rest of blood count be upto it. …
