More than 12 months on as it seemed the oncologist forgot to get the tests last time around!? Either way, back into hospital for CT scan of abdomen and chest, along with chest x-ray.

First CT scan I have had for a year - they don't like doing them very often due to the inherent risks of the high levels of radiation. CXR is lower on radiation so have those every other check up...c. Every 4 months.

Not much to say about this one really. Two months on from my previous follow up and I was in for another blood test and then back at the Cancer Centre for my follow up.

That being said, i had to get back to this blog and update the story in case anybody has been tracking progress whilst going though the same thing. I will summarise my thoughts about the treatment in one post now we are a few months…

Arrived at hospital at 8.30 for my first shot of chemo with my wife - good to have her back with me for this one (she missed the kidney function test - which is the only appointment she hasn't been at so far - did'nt like it - it felt wrong). we were both understandably a little on edge as didn't really know how it was going to go.

Started in a reception area with a few other (what turned out be to) newbies…
