I am a very good healer apparently.  I have rested and ensured my leg is elevated as much as possible.  I also have access to a wheel chair with a leg support to ensure my leg is raised - many thanks to the Red Cross. Still difficult to believe it's part of me - but compared to 1 week ago when I took the 1st picture I can see a marked improvement.  My days of wearing mini skirts are over, but then at my age - not such a bad thing!

Ouch!!  Uncomfortable place to have one!  Is the "mesh" the skin graft?

    Hi Tweety Pie & Marsha,

Yes, Saw Opticalboy's blog - he inspired me to show mine.  His has gone "gungy" as he hasn't kept it elevated - this is my second so I am super careful!  Mine is my calf so it is much larger, but much more "healthy" looking!

Agree, it does look like a mesh, but it is the skin graft. Amazing really!  So glad there are clever people around to do this sort of thing.  Still hard to accept it's my leg when I look at it in the flesh!

ha h ahah have i set a trend? mine looked meshlike when i first had the graft done but the wound was so wet it didnt take and as the time went on all i have is sluff and over granulation and the damn lymph fluid spewing out the wound!!!1 how the hell can i work 4 days a week if that happens.... its damn inconvenient.... and i keep it elevated when i am at home and during lunch breaks at work and i dont care who stares at me on the train when i kick off my shoes and put my feet up on the seats... maybe in the evening its the smell of my feet?

crowiedoll where did you have your ops done?

i also owe a lot of my poor healing to my overweightness.... i am desperate to lose weight and i do then depression hits and im on the chocolate again then off again... but i wont give up trying...

thanks for the comments on my blog.... glad to inspire the photos... which i now dont apologise for putting on my facebook... people who look away are the ones like me 2 months ago before being told i have a MM.... yeah i thought... those things only happen to other people!! im a lot different now...

    have a good evening
