yet another milestone

Less than one minute read time.

We realised today was another milestone that had crept up on us rather without thinking, it was a year ago to the day that Ray started chemo. Can honestly say that was a terrible few months, then again when you consider the alternative it doesn’t seem so bad.

I remember us discussing the chemo and Ray being really worried that with only a few months predicted would it be worth it. I dont think you ever know , but there is something in us all that says we have to fight as best we can.

I do know we wouldn’t have had this time without the chemo, in four more weeks , Ray will have been alive a year longer than that first prognosis. As we sit here drinking a glass of red wine and looking forward to our few days in the New Forest, we hope he’s going to do a bit more to improve those statistics

    Hello there!

I found your post really encouraging. My husband is struggling with his last 2 cycles of chemo, but it is this treatment which is giving him more time and giving us the possibility of having some quality time together. For that we are both grateful. As you say, you never know when you start down this route, but you have to give it a go, at least.

I wish you both well, and very much hope you have an enjoyable relaxing time away together.
