    Second pre-chemo check went well.  Doctor was to change sickness tablets to take home after chemo.  In happy mood jumped on the scales getting to know the routine – to be told I would weigh a lot less without my handbag and we had a good laugh.     I am now into Day 5 of looking after my husband who is prostrate in bed with gastric flu– and I wish I could join him.  I am knackered.  Going up and down the stairs with drinks all the time reminds me we are supposed to be looking for a bungalow.  Thank goodness I was not sick too after chemo for ovarian cancer.

    My DH is still poorly.  Had another restless night – not helped by having the bed sheet pulled off as he tried to wrap himself up like an Egyptian mummy.  I will put on the king size sheets to allow for tossing and turning.
     
    I was stroking his head, shoulder and back and he gave off little pop pop sounds in his sleep.  This I find comforting for both of us.  I found it brought down his blood pressure to the extent…
