Chemo Brain

Less than one minute read time.

Fourth chemo.  Came home and cooked dinner.  What should have taken half an hour took nearly two hours as I went round in circles.  Chemo is going well - just hope this feeling of being completely drunk goes.  Mind you it is a cheap way.

Feeling positive though very hot.

I think we are all like that if anything slightly out of the ordinary happens ....leaves you all mixed up  and out of routine.

Lol Solent, suppose it is a cheap way of getting drunk!  You're doing great and I'm glad you're feeling positive (if hot)!  Caroline XX

    Hi Solent,

The time it took to cook dinner dosent matter, what matters is the fact that you got it done. Congratulations well done.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xxx

    Hi Solent,

I am so with you on the chemo brain thing and literally walking around in circles (usually as a result of putting something down in the wrong place then not sure what I was doing and going around in circles to figure it out)!

I have had 5/6 of my FEC-T chemo regime now and sometimes I feel like I must have the onset of early dementia; struggling to find the right word to say/describe something; being far more scatterbrained than usual; struggling with basic scheduling/timing awareness; all sorts of silly stuff that is really frustrating - just have to accept it and hope that one day the poison will be out of my body and I get my brain back again :D
