Cancelled Holiday to New Zealand

Less than one minute read time.

We have had to cancel our holiday to New Zealand, my mother in law has been diagnoised with multiple brain tumours. (primary)

The diagnosis in not good, weeks or a few months to live

She has become extremely confused and does not really know where she is any more. We are having quite bizarre conversations which for now add a bit of humour to the situation.

Luckily for now she is not in any pain. She can not use her left arm or left so the symptons are like a stroke. She is in hospital at the moment but we are hoping to get he into a Nursing Home next week

Sorry to hear this. My 64yo father has stage iv glioblastoma (aggressive brain tumour). He was taken in to hospital today as his seizures are back (and worse) as is the vomiting. He has one week left of a six week course of chemo and RT but his consultant has decided to stop it.

Everything is happening so quickly now and it's so frightening. Good luck to you and your family, you will be in my thoughts.

I meant to add - rather ironically, my sister lives in NZ and my parents were due to fly out for their annual trip there in January. Obviously this won't happen now.
