On pain killers to get through Italian trip

Less than one minute read time.

After 18 months of chronic pain in my right shoulder I have decided to take pain killers.

I am pre-treatment, no surgery or other drugs, and have just about managed to deal with the searing pain and sleepless nights, that was until last Thursday. I avoided pain-killers before now because I was told they can cause drowsiness, but after nearly two years of poor sleep I have been drowsy most of the time anyway.

So why the change of mind?

The main reason for pain-killers to enjoy an upcoming trip to Italy, and a little drowsiness, and a lot less pain, is a small price to pay.

So now I take Co-Codamol 30mg/500mg two four times a day and Naproxen 500mg one twice a day.

Is any-one else pre-treatment? If so are you taking any pain-killers, and do they present any side-effects.

    Hi Janique,

Yep! Already suffering that side effect, but you are right it is a small price to pay to have a pain-free trip. I am off today, doing Milan, Venice, Rome and Florence. It's my taste of Italy trip.
