Hi there ,I do know how frightening this is for you as I have been there ,but hopefully your mum can get through this ok,My lymph nodes were not affected but I had a total hysterectomy followed up by 6 weeks radiotherapy and that was two and a half years ago and I am fine, I wont say it will be easy BUT with positive thinking she can get through this and look forward to a happy future with all her grandchildren. Please be brave and encourage her to follow what the doctor advises, I really do wish you and all the family good luck,it will be tough but with the love and support of you  I hope she will be ok. take care and please keep in touch. Dee.

Hi Karen,  I hope that whatever they find, they manage to put together a good treatment programme for your mum.  She is going to have to overcome her phobia of doctors as she will be seeing quite a few from now on.  Unfortunately it is understandable to feel terrified whilst waiting for results as we are always afraid of what we do not understand. Our way of coping with all cancer issues was to take one day at a time.  We tried to keep life as normal as possible in between appointments and treatments.  I wish mum all the very best for the coming days, weeks, months.  x x

i had exactly the same thing, i was told i was going through the menopause, when i actually had cancer in my uterus, was told smear tests couldnt pick it up as it didnt go high enough. it is very scary waiting for results, and treatment. i wish your mum all the very best of luck with everything. liz x
