The oncologists really ought to spell it out to everyone. Chemo is not very nice. It is a poison designed to attack cancer cells more than ordinary cells. And thereby lies the problem. While it is doing it's job on the nasties some of the good guys get caught in the crossfire. Side effects can be quite devastating but they can be controlled.
