Debs Daily Deliberations 103

2 minute read time.
Evening WNowers, ? I don't care what the weatherman says, if the weatherman says its raining, you'll never hear me complaining ? well thats not strictly true cos the weather has been crap today!!!!!! My laundry is out on the line still soaking wet........grrrrrrrr The post arrived early today and I got the most beautiful green sun hat from Kerrie.........I proudly wore it around the house and ok I am biased, it looked bloody brill with my "Harrahs" casino white bathrobe - never been there but it was yet another pressie from my friend in California (ooooh I sound spoilt with pressies now don't I).....anyway Lara told me the hat looked "really nice Mum but maybe not with your dressing gown"....what does an 11 year old know anyway LOL I felt like baking today.......so I made a batch of plain pastry and decided that some sort of "flan" was in order for dinner - now what sort......looked in the fridge and I always have - cheese, red onions (by the bag) and peppers.......so I oven roasted the red onions and mixed sweet peppers, popped them into the flan along with cheddar and finished with some Welsh Goats cheese. I made small individual flans for the kids with just ham and cheese for the non-adventurous. I made some rustic potato wedges (that just means your lazy and leave the skins on) roasted with some Italian Garlic thats a whole bulb like an onion rather than in cloves. I found some onion rings and garlic mushrooms in the freezer and put those out along with the rest of the Aoli from Saturday. Tony said it was the best flan he had tasted in ages, always the way when you throw it together - who needs recipes!!!!!!! With dinner organised I sat and watched Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging with Lara as what else can you do on a rainy day! I finished my dinner with a glass of Shandy - oh pushing the boat out LOL Just had a lovely bath and am back here sitting in my bathrobe - minus my beautiful green hat ;) and yes I have been dressed inbetween. Off to the doctors tomorrow at 9am for another bloodtest - OH GOD..........where are they gonna get it from this time - still have the bruise on my hand from last week! So platelets, best you be even further up! See you on the flipside folks. Thought for today: Lives, like money, are spent. What are you buying with yours? Roy H Williams

One of my favourite books!  Has Lara read them?  I usually take the latest on holiday for Hannah (me), and god do we laugh... takes me back to my teenage years!!

I have just joined in this, as my dad is newly diagnosed, and it is all a bit overwhelming, however, I love reading your blogs.  They really cheer me up, so thank you and keep writing.
