Debs Daily Deliberations 90

3 minute read time.
Well, the What Now gremlins must be very hungry tonight because they ate my blog. I respectfully ask that James & Thomas feed them more regularly please and always before dark ;) First things first - MY HAIR IS GROWING - not all over mostly at the sides as the top is still shiny and smooth but its hair nonetheless and its only 6 weeks post radiotherapy and the leaflets all said it wouldn't start growing till 6-12months after! But then I haven't been the standard model from the get go have I LOL You know apart from a tiny baby, waking to have my puppy so excited to see me and cover me with puppy kisses really is a lovely way to start the day. The boys drove me nuts this morning: Sean was faffing around trying to find an outfit to wear for his ONE LINE in the drama presentation tomorrow, giving me a crumpled PE kit that was needed for a badminton tournament TODAY, oh and he remembered that his trousers and shirt got covered in mud riding home from school yesterday. Just time to iron the PE kit (again), new shirt and sponge down the trousers....phewwwwwwwwwwww HANG ON Jack is now in the hall cupboard mumbling and shoes are being thrown around, the vacuum is dragged out...he could only find one school shoe! I was quite pleased to see them out of the door today I have to say. Now, the next bit is very worrying - I was a domestic goddess today. I did two loads of laundry, washed up the breakfast things, prepared dinner, ironed two karate suits and 4 shirts all before 11am. Yesterday I vacuumed, please tell me that I haven't actually started to turn into a housewife after 7 months off LOL Tony came home from work early and we headed off to Romford, very easy run and parked straight away. Walked in and the noise in the main entrance hit me like a brick wall, very unsettling. I asked Tony and he agreed, very loud in there today - almost airport level. Anyway, pressed the green button, took my ticket, sat down and got straight back up cos I was called in! Oh the young man drawing the blood, tres cute with beautiful eyes. I get the same old thing though "you have rubbish veins".......no sh!t sherlock LOL "don't worry, I am a professional at this" he says, "so am I" I reply. He shoots the breeze by asking what my bloods are for, I tell him about "Buttercup", we share a laugh and then........I am walking back out to my hubby. I did remember not to let them put that nasty plastic sticky stuff (apparently, Blood McDreamy says a lot of people are allergic to it) and he put a tiny little plaster on instead. Sean made it to the final in the badminton tournament, losing to his best friend! Lara has gone back to school as its Open Evening and she is Vice-Captain and on the school council and has to show parents around (lets hope she doesn't open her mouth LOL). Kids have been fed and Tony and my dinner is in the oven, ready for when he gets back from karate training. I have made sweet chili pork and beef meatballs in tomato sauce and we are having it with fresh pasta......its smells yummy. Couldn't stop thinking about Liz on my journey today, I try not to get upset at what I read in here so as to protect myself, but I was certainly "affected", much love to you. Beginning to wonder if we need to send out a search party for Brambledigger and Freckles. Thought for today: Nothing is so strong as gentleness. Nothing is so gentle as real strength. We are all shocked by liz's news and feel so bad for her and steve.

Your bit about the kids antics on a morning brought back sooo many memories of my kids and school times lol. It could have been my life you were describing lol.

    Take care,  Love x x Tricia x x

2 Gi's I hate ironing one, you must be a domestic goddess nay a Saint to iron 2!!!!

Oh how I remember them mornings when 3 son's were getting ready for school and the smelly week old, mud covered, rugby kit came out of the bag accompanied by crys of "I need this today or I'm going to get dun". Seems only yesterday Wait on...... it was only yesterday.....No only Joking now its "where's my car keys I'm going to be late for work".  Yes 20 odd years on and nothing has really changed.

I know what you mean about thinking about liz, and how you try not to get upset when you read things on here, but we do because we care about our "What Now" Friends we also have empathy with them.   I also know how Steve feels because thats how I feel, we have been married for 32 years and I don't want to carry on without Laurence,  Thats why I've forbid him to leave me, and he knows not to disobey she who must be obey'd

Will wait in anticipation for deliberation 91 without gremlins.
