Debs Daily Deliberations 80

2 minute read time.
? Go shorty its ya birfday ? Yep 42 glorious years old today and it got off to a slightly dodgy start but got better as the day went on. I got up early to have a cuppa tea with the hubby before he went off to work (he starts early on a Friday) and I needed a £20 broken down into smaller change for the kids lunch and for Sean's friend's birthday card.....so got a £20 out of my purse for Tony to swap into his karate tin for smaller dominations...........ok so far.....but then Ollie had a few pee moments that missed the newspaper and I quickly cleared it up and threw the kitchen roll down the loo. Yep you guessed it, I couldn't find the £20 anywhere and began to get upset cos I thought I had gone and flushed it !!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily had some more money in my purse (rare occassion indeed) and changed it up. Looked for ages but nope..........Tony checked the rubbish sack as it was bin day........also checked recycling. Well about 2 hours later I found that I had tucked it underneath a printer disc on my computer desk that I was going to install later..........d'ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. At least I hadn't flushed it, would have been an expensive dog pee otherwise! The boys eventually remembered it was my birthday just as they were taking their packed lunches off me to put in their schoolbags - quick run upstairs and hey presto "here's your card Mum" gotta love boys LOL Lara got up around 9.30am and had her card in hand as she came downstairs - see girls always prepared. She stayed in for a bit with me and then ducked off to the tennis courts with her friends and as she had an inset day from school, who could blame her for wanting to be out. The next door but one neighbours had builders arrive to install a conservatory so I had the accompaniament of drilling and groundwork going on which put pay to having lunch out on the patio! My sisters arrived just before midday and we enjoyed smoked salmon sandwiches followed by fresh scones with clotted cream and Tiptree Strawberry Jam (good old Essex produce) my sister had also managed to pick up a punnet of strawberries from the local farm too but we were too stuffed to eat these so I will have them later. Boys came home from school and two little gift bags were handed over, "uncovered" by Ministry of Sound cd and also The Killers.......trying to put them onto my iPod should keep me busy for a few hours LOL Tea was just pitta bread, halloumi, houmous and salad.....too warm (too full from earlier) and the rest of them are at karate training tonight. Sean is at a friends BBQ party and its just me and the dogs. Murrey has just lost his match but I am not his biggest fan anyway, just happy that Feds is through easily. Had a lovely time with my sisters, not often all three of us are together. The weekend starts here, going into town shopping tomorrow and then out for dinner just the hubs and me, a birthday weekend........could get use to this ;) Thought for today: Be who you are and say what you feel...Because those that matter don't mind... And those that mind don't matter. Theodor Seuss Geisel
