Only one more session left :)

1 minute read time.

I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by, I think as Alex is having chemo every two weeks it makes it go very fast.  On his good days he has been out and about with his friends enjoying the lovely weather (hat and long sleeves of course :) )

On Thusday we saw the oncologist about the radiotherapy that he will have to have when chemo is over, last chemo 28th April, then appointments for Ct scans, mould making, radiotherapy planning and he will start radiotherapy 31st May. Hopefully this will all be over the day before his birthday - 21st June :)

Decided not to give him the steroid tablets this time as he was having trouble sleeping.  Friday he had a bit of nausea and a sweaty episode in bed, he slept through Saturday and most of Sunday as he was just very tired, not eating or drinking much.  He managed a little walk Sunday afternoon but went and had a lie down afterwards.  Today he seems like he's getting back to normal again.

His hair is still falling out and has gone all downy and soft, the nurses said it must be because he had such thick hair to start with that he has some left .

Dad went to see his consultant at the hospital today and amazingly he doesn't want to see him for another four months!!  There are a few more dark spots on the x-ray and he has lost quite a bit of weight but the consultant couldn't believe how well he is doing - which just goes to show that when they say 2 weeks to 12 months ................... no chemo, no radiotherapy ............. just his faith & positive attitude to life and being looked after by his family of course!
