This is where you can find out about all the amazing things going on in the Online Community. It's where you'll find news about events and awareness months; ways to get involved with Macmillan and up-to-date campaigning news from Macmillan HQ.
Please note: This webchat has been rescheduled from 4 July.
On Thursday 19 July, we’re hosting a webchat with Great British duathlete and Macmillan supporter Catriona Morrison.
On 9 September, runners and cyclists will take to Richmond Park for this year’s London Duathlon. This year, Macmillan is the event’s official charity, which means lots of people will be running and pedalling over a choice of different lengths to raise money for us.
For fundraisers looking for an event to really test their abilities, a duathlon presents twice the challenge. Preparing for both the running and cycling sections of the event can make training very demanding.
Catriona has represented Great Britain in both duathlons and triathlons and has brought home lots of medals, including a gold medal at the 2010 Duathlon World Championships in Edinburgh.
Whether you’re already signed up for the London Duathlon, another duathlon event, or you’d just like to know more about training for one, join us in the chatroom to ask Catriona your questions. The webchat will be on Thursday 19 July, 12-1pm.
If you can’t make it and you’d like to ask a question, post it in the comments below and I’ll ask it for you. All the questions and answers will be published here on the Community News Blog.
