Waiting in line

Less than one minute read time.

SO today I was told that the waiting list for chemo and radio therapy is 6 to 8 weeks. Good old efficient NHS. So for the next 2 months I have to sit around and wait. Well bugger that. I am going to push hard for my treatment and get myself fitter and fitter every day. I have a family to feed, clothe and keep a roof over our heads.

I wish you the best of luck with the waiting list. Are there no other hospitals within your reach who have a shorter list ??  I must admit I was well looked after by the NHS, Sheffield is a Teaching Hospital and people travel miles to use our facilities. I hope you can shortcut the system, waiting is a nightmare in its self.

    Take care, Bill

All the waiting around is the worst thing ever, I havnt yet started my treatment, my op isnt till Thursday. I have to say though that since my diagnois on 3rd May i cannot fault the NHS they have been fantastic. Maybe it is different excperiences in different parts of the country. I am in the West Mids, i dont know what the chemo situ will be will have to wait and see.

Good luck with the waiting list i hope you can get your treatment sooner.

I sometimes think that we in the West Mids don't realise how lucky we are. I can't fault Heartlands nurse for theire care. Hope you get your waiting sorted out soon!
