Tell us what information you need about medicines

1 minute read time.

This is from our cancer information team:

We want to make sure that the information we publish is the information you need.

There's surpisingly little consensus on what information is most important when it comes to making informed decisions about medicine intake. But we do know that high quality, relevant and useful information is crucial in helping you make these important decisions.

Macmillan Cancer Support and other organisations in the voluntary sector are working with the not-for-profit company Datapharm (www.medguides.medicines.org.uk), a leading provider of online information about medicines in the UK, on an online questionnaire. We can’t talk to everyone who uses medicines, so we are working together on a project to find out what people really want to know about them.

The results of this survey will be collated and discussed at a special Learning Event for organisations working in the voluntary health sector. What you tell us will help all of us understand what information is most useful and helpful to you and will help us to improve the services we offer.

We estimate that the questionnaire will take about 15 minutes to complete. This research questionnaire will be used in the Learning Event, and all responses will be treated in confidence. None of your personal details will be shared with any third parties.

We're very grateful for your help. Key findings from this survey will be posted on www.medicines.org.uk from 16 December 2009.
