Well that was a shock

1 minute read time.

Last friday i summond up all my effort and sat in the outpatients waiting room awaiting the results from my latest scan, as per usual the was an hour delay, which never does your nerves one bit of good, i like most people just want to get it over and done with, but like chemo for cancer the waiting to be seen by your consultant is a long drawn out affair.

the opening statement was not what i wanted to hear, "what do you know about your disease?" The horrible warning shot accross the bow to prepare you for bad news,

i was told the unfortunatly even though my lungs had remained stable it had spread one lymph node in my chest, therefore surgery was no longer a viable option and fourth line chemo could be offered, but very small chance, we were asked to consider carefully quality over quantity.

then out of the blue , today i got an email requesting i attend the royal brompton on wednesday for admission for surgery on thursday.

hell yes its a long shot, but mr dusmet only does surgery if he thinks it curative, i most likely will need two operations, and maybe mo up chemo over the summer, but hell i have a chance again..

woohoo
