Hi Petalmore, Thank you for your post! Although it was a while ago now so I don't know if you still come online? I am so grateful to see some information from someone else who has had Hodgkins Lymphoma and is a long term survivor. I had Mantle Radiation and then Chemo' (I cant remember the...

Usually about an hour to feed through the drugs.....just depends on how busy the nurses are getting you set up/warmed up etc...I have been there for about 2 hours before! Goes quite quick though as the nurses keep you engaged. Will this be your 1st ever chemo?

Hi everyone. I am looking for some advice for my closest friend. I know whether he decides to have chemo or not is his own choice. But I have promised to gather as much information for him as I can find, to help him through this and help him make the best decision for him. What ever his decision I...

Hi everyone, I have joined here as I very recently found out my aunt has lung cancer. Now I don't know the specifics, I don't know much at all about cancer, but what I do know is it started in the lung but spread to the pipe just before it splits into two entering each lung (is this the trachea...

Hi all, I recently had surgery to remove a tumour from my colon, and was told I was a Dukes B. I am just out of hospital and recovering from surgery, and my oncologist wants to get me going on adjuvant chemotherapy this week (2 weeks after surgery). I have some questions... Firstly, I would imagine...

I have not blogged for quite a while so to fill you in. I had Topotecan in May it was a weekly infusion again. At first the chemo looked like it was working then my blood count was too low every third week so would have a week off even though the dose was lowered. For the Chemo to work I needed it...

I’ve not been writing… I’ve been grumpy…. basically I’ve been awaiting a CAT scan and then the results of said scan, to find out ‘what next’. Its proper horrid when your life is up in the air and you’ve no idea how to plan for the months or weeks...

…so that’s okay then. That explains my overlong visit and descent into worry… the person I saw on Monday is a new(ish) and enthusiastic registrar. No wonder I was in there so long. Yesterday was R-CHOP (chemo) number 5. Having had a vomiting session the day before (very...

You know what I hate? When medical bods disagree with each other. I’m up for my 5th R-CHOP chemo on Thursday and then my consusltant had me down for a CT scan…. and after that they’d make a decision as to whether I’ll be having the rest of a 6 cylce course (ie one more...

I'm one week into my treatment for Hodgkin Lymphoma and in all honesty not feeling half as bad as I expected. I'm aware that this will probably change and I won't be able to carry on "as normal" as I have been this last week, however I'll try to as long as I can. This week...
